Developed by Wilfred Drysdale of Neepawa Manitoba, the Prairie Magic is one of the best tasting eating apples that we sell along with Norkent, September Ruby and the Schaffer Applecrab. Yellow with a red blush on the sun facing side, this apple is big, crisp and delicious. It is an excellent eating apple, good for cooking and for long storage periods. Taste this apple in Mr. V's demonstration orchard. Like all high latitude hardy apple trees, the Prairie Magic Apple grows to about 20 feet tall, has white non fragrant blossoms that appear just as the leaves are breaking bud. The dark green leaves that turn orange in the fall. The Prairie Magic is a Late season apple that requires a different apple variety as a cross pollinator to produce fruit. Since it is a late season tree, it can only cross with a different variety of mid or late season apples. Size: 7-8 cm Harvest: mid September Storage: 16 weeks |
